The Lock screen is the most accessed screen on any iPhone or iPad. The iOS 9 has brought some remarkable changes in Notification Center and Control Center, but there aren’t any usable changes done for the Lock Screen. If you have Jailbroken your iOS 9, then Cydia tweaks are always there for everything.
Akri is a Cydia tweak that will spice up your Lock Screen by adding pages of your favorite apps, which you can launch right from the Lock Screen. Honestly, tweaks like this compel us to Jailbreak our devices. They make our regular tasks much easier than ever. The tweak isn’t free, but completely worth the price and it is available on Cydia’s BigBoss repo.
Now coming back to the features, Akri has a simple and easy to understand interface. Above all, the configuration in preferences section in Settings is also very easy to setup. After you download and install the tweak, simply head to preferences section of Akri in Settings app.
By default, the tweak is already enabled. You just need to add apps that you wish to add on the Lock Screen. Remember to respring your device after making any changes. Even if the change is minor, respring is mandatory. If you have a Passcode enabled on your iPhone or iPad, then scroll down to the bottom of preferences and enter your Passcode.
By doing so, even if your iPhone or iPad is locked you will be able to access your favorite app shortcuts without needing to enter your Passcode. To access the shortcuts, you just need to swipe left on the Lock Screen to scroll through the list of your favorite apps.
Wasn’t that simple? It is certainly a very useful tweak for casual as well as hardcore iPhone or iPad user because everyone has the same Lock Screen on their device.
