No matter what new messaging app hits the App Store, the traditional SMS and iMessage will always be our favorites. Even though they do not offer certain features, we stick to them when there is no internet connectivity. Specifically, SMS are always reliable to communicate with friends or family.
As said earlier that they lack certain features, one of such lacking feature is unable to save important messages. Rather say, a bookmarking option is absent in Messages app on iPhone. There’s good news for you, only if you have a Jailbroken iPhone. Smssave Cydia tweak can eliminate the limitation of bookmarking.
The tweak is available for free on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. Once you download and install the tweak, it starting working instantly, without needing to configure anything. To save any of the chat conversation, just go to the chat and tap and hold the message you wish to keep.
A small pop-up above the message will appear with a “Save” option. Just tap on it and the message will be saved. Now if you wish to access your saved messages, then just head to the main screen of the Messages app, and you’ll notice a “Star” icon on the top-right side. Tap on it and you’ll have a list of all the saved messages.
As there are no other fancy features of Smssave, there is no need for preference section in Settings app. It’s easy to use and doesn’t need any configuration, which makes it more demanding to use. The only thing to note is that it is compatible with only iOS 9. So if you are on any earlier version of iOS, then you’ll not be able to use it.
