After the news of iOS 9 untethered Jailbreak, users simply rushed to download the Pangu tool to Jailbreak their devices. But most of them were stuck after Jailbreaking, because few of the most demanding tweaks were yet to be updated to work with iOS 9. Basic tweaks like WinterBoard and PreferenceLoader were not compatible to work with iOS 9.
Many iOS 9 users would have already Jailbroken their devices and tried installing different tweaks, from the list we have already provided. If you aren’t able to Jailbreak your iOS 9 because of any error, you can also check our post on common iOS 9 Jailbreak problems.
PreferenceLoader is one of the most essential tweak, because it lets you customize your installed tweaks under Settings app. PreferenceLoader was not compatible with iOS 9, and thus, all your installed tweaks were almost useless, because you cannot customize any of your tweaks.
However, if you are not seeing any tweak in the Settings app, obviously, it is because your PreferenceLoader needs to be updated to latest 2.2.3-1 version.
How to Fix Cydia Tweaks Don’t Show up in Settings App on iPhone and iPad
First and foremost thing you need to do is check whether the PreferenceLoader is installed in Cydia or not. Most of the times when you don’t find Cydia tweaks in setting, PreferenceLoader needs to be re-installed. So here’s how you can do that:
- Open Cydia on your iPhone/iPad.
- Search for PreferenceLoader.
- Tap on Modify from top left corner (you will see Install button if you are trying it very first time.)
- Tap on Reinstall from the Popup Menu (In case you are trying for first time, tap on install.)
- Right after that, your device will reboot thereafter launch the settings app to see the effect.
Most probably, this should solve the issue of Cydia tweaks not showing in Settings. If you are still unable to see the tweaks, then there might be problem with the Cydia installation itself. Or in some cases, you need to identify the particular tweaks which are not working and try to update them to fix the problems.
Re-jailbreaking your iPhone/iPad is the last option that will surely show the tweaks in settings once the process is completed. We hope that this solves your Cydia tweaks don’t show up in settings issue. Stay tuned on iCydiaOS blog for more such guides.
