There are already lots of tricks to hide certain apps from home screen. There are also certain drawbacks of using these tricks, the apps re-appear once your restart your iPhone or iPad. In some tricks, the apps aren’t accessible when needed and we have to follow a very long process to use hidden apps.
Things are always neat and easy for Jailbreaker because they have tweaks for everything. Apex 2 is one hell of a tweak that will ease the job of hiding and accessing apps. The tweak is bit costly but considering its features and usability, the price seems to be fair. It is available on Cydia’s BigBoss repo.
Talking about the features and usability of Apex 2, the tweak has pretty neat and easy user interface that does not need much of configurations. After you install the tweak, Cydia will respring your device and the tweak will start its job right from the home screen. All you need to do is to swipe down on any app.
This will invoke four boxes in all the four directions of the app with a “Plus” button. Tap on the plus button and add the apps you wish to hide. After you are done with all the four boxes, tap anywhere on the Home Screen. All the apps that you added are now hidden from your Home Screen.
Now in case you want to access any of the hidden apps, all you need to do is to swipe down the same app where you hide other apps. This will open up the same four boxes with the apps that you have hidden. You can repeat the same process by swiping down other apps and adding more apps to the boxes for hiding them.
Isn’t that simple and convenient? The tweak works flawlessly and features smooth animations which are beautiful to watch. As said earlier, the tweak isn’t free but it is surely worth the price.
