Mockingbird is a recently released Cydia tweak available on BigBoss repo. The tweak costs $1.99 and it is still version 1.0. There is not much of a configuration to be done in the preferences section of this tweak; all you need to do is to toggle ON the option to enable the tweak.
This tiny tweak brings your notifications and background running apps into one single window when you invoke the App switcher. There are two different views which you can set in the preferences section: Notifications at the bottom or at the top. Practically, we are used to see notifications on top of the screen.
One of the impressive parts about this tweak is that the last visited app will be in the bigger tile section of the app switcher window. This makes it easier to recognize the app you visited recently. In order to force close an app, just long press on the app card and watch it vanish.
As it is just the initial version of the tweak, there are lots of improvements to be done by the developer. The tweak lacks some serious transition animations. It just simply moves from one page to another when switching between apps. Apart from that, even the notifications cannot be cleared from App switcher screen.
In order to clear your notifications, you’ll need to pull down Notifications centre and manually clear them. Granted, that the landscape mode is still in Beta version, but even then it lacks so many things. App tiles are not properly organized, sometimes it does not show notifications, and the iPhone hangs in landscape mode. These kinds of bugs make this tweak literally unusable in landscape mode.
The tweak does not need finishing; instead, it needs a complete makeover. The concept of this tweak is surely promising and useful, but I would recommend waiting for the future update of the tweak before buying.
