A Jailbreak fanatic and an app lover both love to download and install number of tweaks and apps on their iOS devices, whether it’s iPhone or iPad. So much so, such users have to create separate folders to store tweaks and apps.
But when it comes to delete or uninstall unnecessary apps and tweaks, they are in tight corner as they have to explore their devices for hours until they find the tweaks or apps to delete. Spotlight search on iPhone and iPad enables you to access the app, but what if you want to delete the app.
SearchDelete is a Cydia tweak that allows you to delete unwanted apps from your iPhone and iPad. Thanks to iOS developer NoahDev, who has developed SearchDelete that lets you delete apps on iOS devices from Spotlight. Just search for the app you want to delete and Bob is your uncle!
SearchDelete works smoothly; just type in the app in Spotlight search and press and hold it for long. The app will start wiggling in Spotlight search itself. Next, you will be asked to delete the application and its data.
Once you install the tweak, go to the Settings app on your iPhone/iPad. From this pane, you can enable or disable Long Press option that works on any application you have searched in Spotlight search. You can also enable and disable jitter icons on long hold.
Below this, you can also find Respring button to refresh the change you have made in Settings pane.
You can install SearchDelete from BigBoss repo; it’s a free tweak that works on iOS 9-enabled devices. NoahDev says that they are working on an easier way to delete app; CyDelete will come in future that will allow users to swipe to delete option.
