How to Sort Instagram Photos by Date on iPhone and iPad

I’m really fond of Instagram. The social networking app, with plenty of features to let you not just share your favorite photos or videos but also edit them as per your liking, has become a hot recipe.

However, the social networking app is not perfect and can’t fit into everyone’s taste. As an active user, I wish to add a new feature that can allow me to sort photos easily.

Sort Instagram Photos by Date on iPhone and iPad Using Chronofeed Cydia Tweak

Fortunately, there is a new jailbreak tweak called Chronofeed which lets you sort Instagram photos by date on your iPhone. So if you wish to give your photos a chronological look, this tweak can serve your purpose.

Works Like A Native Feature

The best thing about this tweak is that it works like a native feature of Instagram. Simply install it on your iOS device and it begins to work as desired.

There are no options to configure from Settings app. Hence, you don’t have to worry about setting it up rightly time and again.

Price and Availability

You can install Chronofeed from Cydia’s BigBoss repo for free. As you don’t have to pay anything, give it a try on your jailbroken device. It would work perfectly without any glitch.

Wrapping Up

Chronofeed is a dead simple tweak and therefore may not impress most users at first sight. Nevertheless, given the user-friendly concept, you’d love to have a go at it.

Personally, I have been impressed with this tweak thanks to its simple functionality. Hopefully, Instagram takes note of it and adds the functionality to its official social networking app.

Restrict App from Opening, Deleting, and Wiggling on iPhone [FolderIconSave Cydia Tweak]

If you have a Jailbroken iPhone, either with iOS 8 or iOS 9, then a newly released Cydia tweak might catch your attention. FolderIconSave is a free tweak that saves icon from opening, deleting, or wiggling. For many of you, this might not be impressive; but it’s pretty handy tweak to make sure no one can delete or rearrange any of your apps.

FolderIconSave is available for free on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. After you have installed the tweak, Cydia will respring your device. The tweak has got its personal space under Settings app; from there, you can manage the features. By default, all the three above mentioned features are toggled ON, but none of them works.

FolderIconSave Cydia Tweak

It’s a little bug; you’ll need to toggle OFF each option and then toggle them back ON. After doing so, tap the Respring option. Now, all the features of the tweak are functional. You can restrict opening of folders, rearranging of apps or folders, and also restrict deletion of any apps.

I am being repetitive, but make sure you toggle OFF and toggle ON all the three options from the preferences section of the tweak. After that, don’t forget to respring the device, only then, the functions will work flawlessly.

FolderIconSave is certainly a useful tweak for those who have few irritating friends that mess up with the layout every time they have their hands on your iPhone. The developer of the tweak has tested the tweak on iPhone with iOS 8 and iOS 9, but not tested on an iPad. So, we can’t be sure whether the tweak works with an iPad.

How to Downgrade iPhone/iPad Apps [App Admin Cydia Tweak]

Currently, there is no option available in App Store to select the version of app your wish to download. By default, the App Store will download the latest available version of any app you are downloading.

There is is Cydia tweak which will help you downgrade or install an earlier version of any app available on App Store. The tweak is called App Admin A.K.A App control developed by UnlimApps.

How to Downgrade iPhone or iPad Apps

The downgrading process is definitely not simple, but at least it is possible. It is not that geeky as well, so you’ll be fine by following the steps. Just refer to the tutorial given below for further details.

How to Downgrade (Download Older Version of) iPhone/iPad Apps

Step #1. Open Cydia from the home screen.

Step #2. Tap on Sources followed by Edit on top-right of the screen.

Step #7. Tap on “Downgrade” and App Control will suggest several known version of the app.

Tap on Downgrade in App Store on iPhone

Simply select the version you wish to install. If that’s not enough or in case you aren’t satisfied with suggestions, I am afraid you will have to exercise a little more. Check the guide below to install the version of your choice.

Downgrading iPhone/iPad with softwareVersionExternalIdentifier

Step #1. Download and install iFile from Cydia.

Step #2. Launch iFile from home screen and go to /User/Containers/Bundle/Application/* and open the app’s iTunesMetadata.plist

Step #3. Here is the tough part, find the version number from the file and copy it.

Step #4. Head back to App Store where you have the pop-up. Paste the version you copied from iFile.

This certainly isn’t an easy way, but it is the only way to downgrade iOS apps. Of course, UnlimApps team is working to make it more user-friendly, as the app is currently in beta version. We can soon have an advanced and easier way to downgrade apps.
